(COLUMBUS, Ohio – 08/09/2021) Vertiv, a global provider of digital infrastructure and business continuity solutions, announced that through its subsidiaries, it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire E&I Engineering Ireland Limited and its subsidiary, Powerbar Gulf LLC. The acquisition will enable the provision of end-to-end Data Centre solutions and the purchase of the Irish company will significantly complement Vertiv’s portfolio with products such as critical power switchgear, UPS input and output power switchgear, and busbars. As a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and business continuity solutions, Vertiv hopes to provide solutions that manage a customer’s entire power infrastructure as an integrated system. Additionally, the provider anticipates gaining revenue synergies that will result from having highly complementary customer and product groups, making it easier to sell and offer integrated solutions to each company’s customers.
The acquired company, E&I, is a leading, fully independent supplier of electrical switchgear and power distribution systems with pioneering technology in in-house, integrated power solution design and customised technology. The company is well established in the electrical distribution market and has established deep customer relationships in over 30 countries and has over 2,100 employees. E&I’s products enable critical data centre power infrastructure systems and the overall market for such products exceeds $7 billion.
